Wogamia

Our Wogamia Composting Facility is located in West Nowra, NSW and was the first site in SOILCO to recycle organics. SOILCO has been processing garden and timber waste at the Wogamia site in Nowra since 2001. Further infrastructure improvements were completed in 2018.

Our infrastructure improvements at Wogamia included conversion of existing turned piled (windrow) composting infrastructure to a forced aeration static pile which reduced the facility’s composting footprint from 20,000 to 5,000 square metres. This in turn improved environmental and process controls. The project was supported by the Environmental Trust as part of the NSW EPA’s Waste Less Recycle More Initiative.

Wogamia accepts the following materials from approved customers:

  • Clean Timber Waste
  • Food Waste
  • Drilling Mud (Solids)
  • Soil ENM
