Planter Box Mix

Soilco planter box mix is a lightweight mix based on high quality inputs such as river sand and filter ash to promote good water holding capacity and a high cation exchange capacity.

Planter Mix (A) has the addition of GO Compost to establish biological activity and further boost water holding and cation exchange capacity. The organic matter assists in making the mix lightweight, however its inclusion also means the mix should only be used to a depth of 300mm.

Planter Mix (B) is has a smaller proportion of organics and is therefore used for areas deeper than 300mm require. This provides a B profile consisting of an inorganic mix. An alternative to Planter Mix (B) in shallower planter boxes may be Washed River Sand (Coarse).

Potting Mix

Soilco manufacture a range of potting mixes to suit various requirements. The General Nursery Mix (PM03) is suitable for most household potting requirements. The mix is a blend of propagating sand, composted pine barks, composted hardwood sawdust and horticultural grade filter ash. It is also suitable for use as a planter box mix.
